The Buddha wishing well by Thistle Cottage was one of the earliest areas landscaped at Petrified Sea Gardens. The flowers visible in the foreground belong to the area that is now a shady rock garden. Early in the Petrified Sea Gardens history much of the land had been farmland and essentially treeless.
